This policy explains how Cold House Fix ("we," "us") handles information on coldhousefix.com.
What we collect
- Info you type into our form: your name, phone number, email (if you give it), ZIP code or city, and short answers about your request (for example, the type of heating problem).
- Your consent record: the date and time you submitted, the consent text you agreed to, your IP address, and your browser type.
- Spam check data: our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. For that check, Cloudflare gets your IP address and browser details, and it may set a cookie.
We also keep the web address of the page where you sent the form. We keep it, along with the time and the consent text you agreed to, as a record that you asked to be contacted. We don't send it to partners.
We don't ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or medical details, and please don't type them into the form.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and connect you with one or more heating companies that serve your area.
- To keep a record that you asked to be contacted.
- To run, secure, and improve the site.
Who we share it with
- The partner companies that respond to your request. When you submit the form, you're asking us to pass your details to one or more heating companies that serve your area so they can call or text you. One or more partners may receive your name, phone number, state, ZIP code or city, the kind of service you asked for, your short answers about your request, and any email you gave. We share these details with those companies for that purpose only.
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting, database, and form providers, and Cloudflare, which checks the form for spam. They may use the info only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We don't sell your information
We don't sell your information to data brokers, list sellers, or anyone else. We don't rent or trade it. We share it only as described above, with the companies you asked us to connect you with. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We store your information securely for as long as we need it to respond to your request, keep a record of your consent, and meet our legal obligations. After that, we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).
Your choices
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any text.
- Stop calls: tell the caller, or email us.
- See, correct, or delete your info: email [email protected] with the phone number you used. We'll respond within 30 days. We'll keep a minimal record of your opt-out so we don't contact you again.
Cookies, tracking, and Do Not Track
We do not use analytics tools or ad pixels. Our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Turnstile may set a cookie, and Cloudflare gets your IP address and browser details for that check, as our service provider. Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website is 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date above. For major changes, we'll put a notice on the homepage.
